TI UART Solutions

TI's wide portfolio of UARTs provides a cost-effective solution to meet the needs of a broad array of applications. TI offers both high-performance UARTs (TL16C55x/TL16C75X/TL16C2xxx) as well as legacy UARTs (TL16C4xx) for less demanding applications. These UARTs include devices with 16-and 64-byte FIFOs along with single, dual, and quad channels. TI's family of UARTs also includes devices for PCMCIA boards for portable computers and ISA bus-based PCs (TL16PC564B), as well as UARTs that support IrDA signaling (TL16PIR552). In addition, TI offers a standalone IRDA encoder and decoder (TIR1000) and a USB-to-UART bridge device (TUSB3410).
