Key Features | TI UART Solutions
As an industry-leading supplier of UARTs, TI
gives you the ability to increase performance for
next-generation applications including being the
first supplier to offer a discrete UART capable of
interfacing to 1.8-V processors – the
TL16C2550/TL16C2552.
TI offers a wide portfolio of parallel-to-serial and serial-to-parallel
UARTs in highly integrated, space-saving configurations that allow
you to increase system performance while decreasing space
requirements.
Applications such as telecommunication base stations and cell
phones, PCs, fax servers and rack modems can all benefit from TI's
high-performance UARTs. As one of the world's leading high-volume
semiconductor manufacturers, TI can offer designers and OEMs the
satisfaction of knowing they are backed by a supplier with the
resources to meet their needs. This includes a dedicated marketing
and technical support team to assist with any issues.

TI UART Solutions
TI's wide portfolio of UARTs provides a cost-effective solution to meet the needs of a broad array of applications. TI offers both high-performance UARTs (TL16C55x/TL16C75X/TL16C2xxx) as well as legacy UARTs (TL16C4xx) for less demanding applications. These UARTs include devices with 16-and 64-byte FIFOs along with single, dual, and quad channels. TI's family of UARTs also includes devices for PCMCIA boards for portable computers and ISA bus-based PCs (TL16PC564B), as well as UARTs that support IrDA signaling (TL16PIR552). In addition, TI offers a standalone IRDA encoder and decoder (TIR1000) and a USB-to-UART bridge device (TUSB3410).
