Reducing Analog Input Noise in Touch Screen Systems (Rev. A)
This application report discusses some common methods for reducing noise in the analog input circuitry of a resistive touch screen controller. In terms of hardware design, PCB layout and grounding are critical; the additional noise-decoupling capacitor built into a touch screen controller input pin may also help. On the software side, several simple, widely-applied filtering algorithms are presented as solutions for noise reduction.
