New TMS320C6474 high performance multicore DSP integrates three 1 GHz on a single chip

C6000 DSPs

TMS320C6474 integrated solution improves power efficiency enabling the same performance as a three! GHz processors but at 1/3 less power consumption and 1/3 the DSP cost. The C6474 is 100% code compatible with TI’s C64x or C64x+ core based DSPs and features EMAC, Antennae Interface (AIF), Serial Rapid I/O serializer/deserializer interfaces. In addition the C6474 offers 32-kB of both L1 program and L1 data memory per core, 3 MB of total L2 memory (available in two configurations) and TI’s fastest DDR2 memory interface running at 667 MHz on the chip. New TMS320C64x™ DSPs broaden TI’s performance portfolio

TMS320C6455 at 1.2 GHz is the fastest single core DSP available and gives developers a significant performance boost at no additional cost. Industry benchmark analysis of the C6455 device placed it atop all other single core programmable DSPs and make them ideal for the most processing-intensive applications requiring the highest performance and processor-to-processor communication. TMS320C6452 DSPs deliver 2x the channels per dollar for high performance applications. Designers of telecom access infrastructure equipment can now double the number of VoIP and conferencing channels per dollar, lowering system cost and power while boosting overall performance. The new code compatible 900 MHz C6452 DSP allows designers to quickly and easily migrate their designs from the widely deployed C641x based products. Learn more

Reduce debugging in complex, context-sensitive real-time embedded applications

The XDS560TM Trace module from EWA Blackhawk is a non-intrusive, hardware-based trace tool offering advanced visibility and capabilities for debugging the specialized problems that arise in high-performance, real-time embedded applications, as well as for fine-tuning code performance and cache optimization of complex multi-channel applications. Real-time visibility and a high-speed interface provide developers with the detailed information they require to determine where and why complex, intermittent problems occur. Learn more
