Education
Companies, communities and students all benefit when education
works. As a technology-based company, Texas Instruments and
its foundation understand how important good schools are in
preparing people to live and work in a high-tech economy. We
take an innovative approach to building excellence in education
by working in partnership with educators to support programs
that produce measurable gains in student achievement. Our efforts
target every level of the education continuum including preschool,
K-12, community college, university, workforce/technical training
and continuing education for adults with an added focus on science,
technology, engineering and math.

Environment
In pursuing excellence and leadership in the areas of environment,
safety and health, TI has created three simple but stringent
goals: zero wasted resources, zero injuries and zero illnesses.
TI’s programs include extensive worldwide efforts to recycle
waste and reduce the use of natural resources. At TI, we also
continually monitor and improve our processes to make sure we
are above and beyond compliance requirements. TI’s number one
priority is the health and safety of our employees, our neighbors
and our communities.

Economic Development
Texas Instruments takes an active role in creating and supporting
economic development programs that benefit our communities.
Examples include grants to opportunity funds that provide investments
to minority and women-owned businesses and programs to develop
a broader supplier base for TI. The company also supports financial
and education efforts designed to bolster economically challenged
areas.

Philanthropy
Making our site communities better places to live is the simple
idea behind TI’s philanthropic efforts. Both the company and
the TI Foundation provide generous support and leadership to
a wide range of organizations including cultural, civic, health
and human services and business.
These programs and initiatives, along with many others,
create a powerful combination of entrepreneurial community action
and involvement that are the hallmark of Texas Instruments –
at home and abroad.
