Applications for grants from Texas Instruments are accepted through an online process.

The company provides support and leadership through the Corporate and TI Foundation giving programs. The main focus is in the greater Dallas metropolitan area, the location of TI’s worldwide headquarters.

Unsolicited charitable funding is reserved for 501(c)(3) non-profits located in the greater Dallas metropolitan area with a focus in the following:

  • Education
    TI's highest giving priority is the creation and support of educational programs that improve the quality of life in our community by providing knowledge, skills and programs that increase the percentage of high school graduates who are math and science capable. Additional emphasis is placed on algebra-based initiatives aimed at eighth-grade students as well as programs reaching minority and female students.

  • Arts and Culture
    TI partners with arts and cultural organizations that define the perception of Dallas within the region, and those which impact the business environment and quality of life in our community.

  • Community Investment
    TI invests in organizations that improve the quality of life in our community
    • United Way - The TI Foundation is proud to give an annual donation exceeding
      $1M to the United Way. Because of this commitment, there is a narrow criteria
      for health and human services agencies. Only programs above and beyond
      the scope of United Way funding will be considered.
    • Capital or civic campaigns - TI considers capital and civic campaigns based on
      their community and economic impact.
    • Memberships - Memberships are funded based on TI business priorities and the
      requesting organization's dedication to community improvement.

Restrictions


TI does not support the following:
  • Grants to individuals, including sponsorships
  • Private foundations or endowment funds
  • Sectarian or denominational religious organizations
  • Political activities, parties or candidates
  • Veteran organizations
  • Fraternal or labor organizations
  • Courtesy advertising including program books and yearbooks
  • Entertainment events, scholarships or conferences
  • Sporting events or teams
  • Golf Tournaments
  • Unrestricted gifts to National or International organizations
  • Travel or tours

TI does not award grants to individuals -- including student scholarships -- for sponsoring advertisements for benefit purposes, or for the contribution of TI products. Because of the large number of requests, TI only supports unsolicited requests for organizations in the greater Dallas metropolitan area, the location of TI’s worldwide headquarters, where the responsibility for supporting public undertakings is the greatest and the needs can best be evaluated.
