Employees and dependents who take the wellness assessment receive a report that will identify personal health risks and give guidance on making healthy lifestyle decisions to reduce risk factors. Healthy Vending and Cafeteria Options
Why offer TIers healthier choices in vending machines? Because, that's the one place many of us run to when we've forgotten to eat breakfast or need a quick "pick me up" in the afternoon. That's also where many items have high calorie and fat content. Temptation is sometimes too strong to resist, so, if more healthy choices are available, we hope TIers make a selection that might lead them down a healthier path. TI has worked with our cafeteria/vending supplier to select and offer these choices, and the nutritional content has been reviewed and approved by a licensed dietician. Our cafeterias also offer healthy meal options for TIers.

On-site Walking
Participation in on-site walking programs is encouraged. Employees can participate in a 12-week walking program. The program is an easy-to-use option for enhancing overall health and physical activity. TIers can get together with co-workers and participate as a group, or participate individually on their own schedule and location. The program includes a pedometer to log everyday activity steps, a log book, motivation through e-weekly e-mails and prize drawings as an additional incentive to complete the program.

On-site Weight Management
Live for Life is a twelve week comprehensive weight management program addressing nutrition, exercise and behavioral modifications to improve the health and well-being of TI employees. Our vision is to apply proven practices and expertise to achieve weights loss in a safe and supportive environment where participants learn with and from each other. We emphasize losing weight slowly (1-2 pounds a week), and provide resources such as BalanceLog software and personal journals to assist participants with daily food intake.

Immunizations
TI offers on-site flu clinics and immunizations for well-baby and well-child. Details of each are described below.

On-site flu clinics are offered at TI locations nationwide. Flu shots are free for all TIers, regardless of health plan participation. Spouses, dependents and retirees may be covered at 100 percent depending on their medical plan coverage. Contractor employees can also take advantage of the on-site flu shots and are charged at the time of service, but may file for reimbursement with their insurance providers if appropriate.

Well-Baby, Well-Child care provides coverage for recommended immunizations and the office visit at the time of the immunization. The immunization schedule is based on the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians and the U.S. Task Force for Preventive Services.
