TI seeks great things for our products – we strive to continually improve performance while reducing environmental impact. Our product stewardship philosophy is evident in everything we do: from the careful use of chemicals in our manufacturing processes to sponsoring e-waste take-back programs, from enabling new means of reducing energy use to creating new component technologies for use in lower cost, life-extending medical equipment.
When designing our products, we first consider: "How can we best solve our customers' problems?" We then ask: "How can we minimize the impact of our products – and the way we make them – on the environment?" Finally, we ask: "Is there a way to help our customers design their products to reduce their impact on the environment as well?"
Sustainable technology design and production promises to be a great growth frontier for TI because our innovations help dozens of industries make their products greener. Marketability is important. So is environmental responsibility. We see these as complementary values.
