The total amount of dues TI paid in 2009 for our most significant association memberships – those to which we pay $25,000 or more in dues annually – was $1,024,602. Approximately $320,698 of that amount was used for lobbying and/or political activities that are nondeductible under Section 162 (e)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code.
