Education

TI in the community TI recognizes that supporting education today is critical to our success tomorrow. Not only do high-tech companies need technologically skilled people, but every nation needs a strong workforce and business leaders to be able to innovate and prosper.

For decades, TI has played a leadership role in driving innovative education programs – a heritage of involvement that dates back to our company's founders. We actively advocate at the local, state and national levels for legislation to improve education, and support a range of initiatives at all points in the education pipeline.

In the past five years alone, TI and the TI Foundation have invested more than $150 million to support education. Higher education has received about 80 percent of these funds, with approximately 70 percent of that investment focused on research. Our investment objectives are to:
  • Build the pipeline of students succeeding in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
  • Help develop and prepare more educators to teach these critical subjects.
  • Support research at universities.
  • Expose students to our technology.
  • Engage students in design competitions, ultimately recruiting the best talent.
We believe this investment will drive the development of the next generation of business leaders and in turn the creation of new, life-changing technologies. By educating students and enabling them to use the latest technology, TI helps bring their innovations to reality.
