Results
In 2012:
- An internal review concluded that none of our manufacturing operations are located in areas with high biodiversity value.
- No wildlife mortalities were reported as a result of our operations during the year.
- Our sites continued to demonstrate commitment to local environmental quality. For example, TI Baguio employees in the Philippines adopted the Baguio City Botanical Garden and planted 2,500 trees to help save the Sagudin River and the Balili River from degradation. Several other sites participated in tree planting and various community cleanup initiatives.
Looking ahead
In 2013, we will continue to monitor the proximity of our manufacturing sites to areas where the presence of endangered, critically endangered and International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List species are known to exist. We also will continue our commitment to minimize our environmental impact on all ecosystems and to support local environmental initiatives.
