Quality and compliance

We educate and involve employees; listen to customers; and continuously improve processes, products and services in our efforts to manufacture products more sustainably. We also adhere to the following internationally recognized standards and organizations on product quality, global environmental, safety and health (ESH) regulations and sustainable manufacturing:
  • The International Electrotechnical Commission's 080000 Electrical and Electronic Components and Products Hazardous Substance Process Management System Requirements.
  • The Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition's Code of Conduct, which includes self-measurement and verification tools for social and environmental performance.
  • International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) Quality Management Systems ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
  • TS16949, an international quality system standard specifically formulated for the automotive industry.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001.
  • The U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design building standards.
We also integrate relevant controls, such as internal audits and quarterly reviews, and we measure progress against goals throughout our quality, purchasing, and ESH management systems. A complete list of product- and operations-related certifications is available on our Quality website.

Customers can assess the compliance of our products against national and international standards through TI’s Eco-Info and Pb-Free website. This site includes downloadable reports that list both the amount and type of substances within our finished integrated circuit products. The information supports compliance with global regulations and supports our customers' management of regulated and controlled substances.

We also work with standards bodies to develop new standards and certifications.
