TI’s political activities and contributions reports are restricted to U.S. activity only. We do not make political contributions in other countries.

We again provided annual training in 2011 for relevant TI employees on their responsibilities under the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act. This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that all lobbying activity and funding are accounted for year-round and properly disclosed.

Corporate
In 2011, TI contributed $1,000 to support a $170 million bond package for the Richardson Independent School District to update and renovate older campuses, improve classroom and campus technology and infrastructure, and support curriculum and instruction upgrades. The “Vote Yes RISD 2011” special-purpose political action committee provided information on behalf of the ballot measure, which voters approved by a 73 percent margin in May. We also contributed $7,500 to support the H2O4Texas Campaign in support of Proposition 2, which would allow the Texas Water Development Board to issue self-supporting bonds to fund water infrastructure programs for Texas. The proposition was approved by voters.

Political action committee
TI has a small but active political action committee (PAC) that supports various federal, state and local candidates. At the end of 2011, PAC contributors had given $76,000 in the 2011-2012 election cycle. In September, TI acquired National Semiconductor. In December, TI terminated the National Semiconductor PAC and transferred its assets to the TI PAC.
