Memberships
In 2011, TI maintained membership in numerous trade associations that engage in advocacy in the United States and abroad. In the U.S., the amount of dues TI paid for our most significant association memberships – those to which we pay $10,000 or more annually – was $1,398,845. Approximately $433,453 of that amount was used for lobbying and/or political activities that are nondeductible under Section 162 (e)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code.
