Inclusion awareness

Varying perspectives about diversity and inclusion can understandably lead to conflict at times, but can also result in learning opportunities. We strive to make it safe for people to talk about differences, and educate them about how our differences can lead to better decisions and business results.

We use a number of tools to educate employees about different cultures and working relationships, including the TIDN, an internal diversity website, workshops, newsletters, conferences, e-mails and brochures.

Our chief diversity officer also publishes a monthly "Inclusion Insight" newsletter and an internal blog that covers contemporary issues and often edgy workplace topics. This openness has led to meaningful dialogue and improved understanding of differences throughout the company.

Additionally, influential company leaders participate in our Diversity Leadership Labs to learn important lessons that they, in turn, can share with the organizations they represent. Customized for specific business units, the labs focus on building trust, collaboration and fostering open communication.
