Most of TI's workforce is desk-bound, so we encourage exercise and a healthy lifestyle to reduce absenteeism, increase productivity and profitability, and boost overall morale.
Preventive health
We provide employees with resources to take control of their health, including individual wellness assessments, immunization and screening programs, fitness and nutrition programs, and counseling and education services. We also fully cover all age-appropriate preventive screenings.
Wellness portal
To proactively engage our workforce about health, we offer an online wellness resource called LiveHealthyatTI.com. The site provides custom health information and tools based on data gleaned from employee wellness assessments.
Online wellness assessment
We encourage employees and their dependents to complete a Web-based health risk assessment, designed to measure health and lifestyle risks. It provides immediate feedback on their particular health risks, a list of targeted health priorities, and in-depth information and guidance on making healthy decisions. Participating employees, spouses or domestic partners save $120 on their annual medical benefits by completing the assessment.
Compass health advocacy
TI offers a benefit advocacy service to help estimate the costs of medical procedures under consideration, answer billing and insurance questions, and locate affordable and quality health providers.
Preventive screenings
We offer preventive health screenings to both employees and their families. Fully covered by our medical plans, these include cancer screenings, blood pressure checks, and a variety of other annual and periodic screenings.
In some cases, we make screenings more convenient by bringing testing equipment on-site, such as health stations that measure blood pressure, body fat, weight and body mass index
Immunizations
TI's immunization and preventive screening schedules are based on recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians and the U.S. Task Force for Preventive Services.
Most of our health plans fully cover recommended immunizations and accompanying office visits for employees and their families; otherwise, there is a small fee.
Pandemic preparedness
TI is prepared for the possibility of pandemic disease. The toll on employees, communities and our business could be significant. As part of our pandemic preparedness plan, we have engaged physicians and nurses to prepare for a disease outbreak.
Our plan involves communicating with employees regarding alternate work options or medical or family leave if they have to stay away from the workplace because the employee or family member is ill.
