2010 performance

Looking ahead

TI launched our ethics and compliance awareness program (ECAP) training worldwide (with 99.1 percent participation rate). ECAP includes training on human rights issues. Additionally, we delivered workplace harassment training at U.S. sites and will expand that course globally in 2011.

With the purchase of our new fabrication facility in China, TI proactively assessed human rights performance and audited existing protocols at that site. We trained new personnel about TI’s human rights and ethics protocols and expectations, and shared ways employees could ask questions or report allegations of improper behavior. In early 2011, we will meet with factory managers to ascertain how TI’s standards are being integrated and to discuss any concerns.

Additional highlights for the year included scoring 100 percent for the third consecutive year on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s U.S. Corporate Equality Index. TI was again recognized for creating an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and engaged.

Looking ahead

In 2011, TI will continue monitoring and engaging employees and managers in China and begin assessing the human rights policies and performance of our critical suppliers. We will continue ECAP training by offering workforce harassment prevention and environmental, safety and health training for all regional employees.
