TI's 2011 Annual Report and Citizenship Report provide a comprehensive overview of the company's economic, environmental and social performance for fiscal year 2011. There are, however, a few GRI indicators that have not been or cannot be addressed. These are noted in TI's GRI index, including, where applicable, explanations for the omission of data.
Performance data from National Semiconductor, which TI acquired in late 2011, has also been excluded from this year's Citizenship Report. |
| PRO3.8 |
Basis for reporting on entities that can significantly affect comparability from period to period |
The 2011 Citizenship Report does not include data on partially-owned subsidiaries, joint ventures, or outsourced operations with the following exception: energy consumption data from the gas plant that serves our North Campus in Dallas. This plant is owned and operated by another company and the gas is sold to Texas Instruments for use in our manufacturing operations. |

Performance data includes a new site in Richardson, Texas, as well as two acquired sites; operations in Chengdu, China and Aizu, Japan. In addition, the environmental data in this report includes leased and owned non-manufacturing sites that are 50,000 square feet or larger. This accounts for more than 99 percent of our environmental footprint worldwide.
