TI's 2011 Corporate Citizenship Report provides a comprehensive overview of our social and environmental performance in fiscal year 2011. The information presented covers all wholly owned TI operations worldwide (unless otherwise stated), including for the first time, the addition of three sites in late 2010.

The report does not include data on subsidiaries, joint ventures, leased facilities or outsourced operations nor National Semiconductor sites, acquired in late 2011. Information on former National sites will be reported in 2012.

Terms such as TI, the company, we, our and us are used interchangeably to refer to TI operations. All currency is presented in U.S. dollars.

| • | Developed a new supplier environmental and social responsibility policy that requires critical alignment of our expectations for ethics, labor practices and environmental controls. |
| • | Implemented 134 energy-efficiency and water conservation projects that saved $8.6 million in utility costs. |
| • | Recycled 1.5 billion gallons of water and 92 percent of waste. |
| • | Contributed $22.2 million to education improvement and local communities through TI, the TI Foundation and employees. |
| • | Committed $1 million to expand grants to help raise student success in math and science in new TI communities following the acquisition of National Semiconductor. |
| • | Named to CR Magazine's "100 Best Corporate Citizens" and Ethisphere Institute's "World's Most Ethical Companies" lists. |

TI's complete online Citizenship Report was prepared using the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) Sustainability Reporting G3 Guidelines. The Citizenship Report meets the standards for GRI's self-assessed Application Level A. and expands on previously published citizenship reports.
The report is divided into seven sections and 48 subsections. The report is navigable using the GRI index or the drop-down menus (above) from the seven sections of the report: Company, Products, Environment, Employees, Community, Advocacy and Governance.

TI's commitment to citizenship is ingrained in everything we do – from developing products conscientiously to caring for our communities and employees. These values were instilled by the company's founders more than 80 years ago.

The information presented in this report is verified through rigorous internal review processes. We make every effort to ensure the information presented is accurate and complete.
Annually, we review our report data collection systems to ensure it covers the breadth and scope of the information needed.
