For more than 40 years, Earth Day has inspired and mobilized individuals and companies worldwide to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. TI sites globally hosted a variety of events around Earth Day this year, underscoring their commitment to environmental responsibility.
Employees in Dallas participated in “Earth Fest,” an annual TI event focused on educating and inspiring employees. This year’s event included TI family members with a children’s art and poetry contest. Earth Fest also featured a behind-the-scenes recycling tour as well as a variety of booths and exhibits that offered information on energy-efficient products that contain TI parts, managing household hazardous waste, and home energy conservation projects.
North Texas employees also recycled unwanted electronics, such as cell phones and other electronic waste on specific days dedicated to recycling. Many signed a virtual pledge card to be more sustainable through specific activities — at work and at home.
At TI’s site in Taiwan, employees planted trees and cleaned up local roads and beaches.
In Bangalore, India, TI employees hosted a plant sale, an environmental quiz, jute (fiber) products exhibition and an environmental awareness display.
