The healthy lifestyle award honors TI for its creative, comprehensive and effective solutions that improve employee health, productivity and well-being.

The National Business Group on Health has named TI a platinum winner for the 2012 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles awards. This award acknowledges creative, comprehensive and effective solutions that improve employee health, productivity and well-being.

Now in its eighth year, the award program is a proven standard for recognizing exceptional employee wellness programs and companies that are making health and wellness a top priority.

"TI is proud to be named an award winner by this respected group, which recognizes companies that offer dynamic and innovative employee wellness programs and use measurable results to determine effectiveness," said Lita Alessandra, TI vice president and manager of compensation and benefits.

"We want all of our employees to perform at their very best and offer a wide range of options that help them make their health a top priority."

This year, the National Business Group recognized 30 platinum and 36 gold company winners. Platinum is the top-level award. Applicants vying for the platinum award were required to complete a Wellness Impact Scorecard.

This scorecard helps employers understand the levels of achievement in improving employee health, along with the strengths and weaknesses of their programs, and provides benchmarking against other employer programs.
