| TI employees braved a rainy Saturday to walk to cure juvenile diabetes. |

With the help of its employees, TI raised more than $161,000 this year to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
"Through your efforts, we increased our walk numbers by over $8,000 and our eAuction by over $1000," executive sponsor Art George, TI senior vice president and manager, said in an email to JDRF captains.
TI's JDRF team is still collecting donations and adding up employees' gifts. But totals already exceed last year's, George said.
The company's 2012 Walk to Cure Diabetes fundraising goal was $125,000 and 300 walkers.
"I cannot express how proud I am of you and of TI for this achievement," George said in the email. "And the most important thing is all the money we raised will help finance research into finding the cause and a cure for diabetes and its complications."
TI's JDRF shirt made it to the finals for Best Corporate Team T-Shirt Design.
The winner of the corporate challenge will be announced later in November at the JDRF Awards Celebration in Dallas.
