TI has earned spots on Woman Engineer Magazine's "Top 50 Employers" list and on the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) list of the "Top 50 Companies for Executive Women." The company was also recently named one of the "Best Places to Work" by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

Woman Engineer Magazine Top 50 Employers
TI ranks 26th on the 20th annual "Top 50 Employers" list in Woman Engineer Magazine. The magazine’s readers were asked to name the employers for which they would most like to work and that they believe would provide a positive working environment for women and are progressive in hiring women engineers. The top 50 employers were ranked according to the frequency they were cited.

Woman Engineer Magazine is the most widely read recruitment magazine for women engineers in the nation. The rankings will appear in the magazine’s spring edition.

NAFE's Top 50 Companies for Executive Women
NAFE's list of the "Top 50 Companies for Executive Women" recognizes organizations that have policies and practices in place that encourage women's advancement. These companies must also have enough women at the highest leadership levels to demonstrate that commitment. This is the sixth consecutive year TI has been included on the list.

Employees from the TI Women's Initiative (TI WIN) participated in "Introduce a Girl to Engineering" at UTD, giving girls a glimpse of careers in technology. TI WIN provides a platform for women to share information and gain support. The organization also supports TI senior management in defining pertinent concerns to women and assisting them in formulating new policies so TI will continue to be recognized as a great place for women to work.

"This ongoing recognition is significant because it reflects TI's leadership position in advancing women among all of the companies that are doing important work in this area," said Steve Lyle, TI director of Education, Workforce Development and Diversity.

"TI has a lot of talented people at all organizational levels in the company – some of the most talented people on the planet. Having gender equity at all of these levels will only make us a stronger company."

NAFE evaluated companies on every aspect of women's advancement, including representation, hiring, attrition and promotion rates, access and usage of key retention and advancement programs such as mentoring, company culture, manager training and accountability.

To be declared a NAFE winner, companies must have a minimum of two women on their board of directors and at least 500 employees in the U.S.

The organization cited TI's programs that focus on mentoring and networking and on identifying high-performing, high-potential employees.

TI will be featured in NAFE magazine's annual Top Companies issue, which will be distributed to NAFE members across the U.S later this spring.

HRC's Best Places to Work
The HRC named TI to its 2011 list of Best Places to Work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Equality. This distinction is awarded to businesses that scored 100 percent on the HRC Foundation's 2011 Corporate Equality Index. TI has achieved a perfect score on the index for the past three consecutive years.

TI is among 337 businesses awarded for their outstanding diversity efforts in the workplace after being evaluated on non-discrimination policies, benefits, diversity training, and internal resources provided to LGBT workers, and outside support of the LGBT community.

For instance, in 2010, the TI Pride Network celebrated its 15th anniversary as a recognized TI diversity initiative, and TI Pride was a finalist for the Out & Equal Employee Resource Group of the Year award.
