SVA leaders Dave Heacock, Steve Hunt, Alex Chin and Kim Wong hosted a holiday shopping spree that raised 978 gifts for the Family Giving Tree.

Employees from TI's Silicon Valley Analog (SVA) business and the Sunnyvale Sales Office recently joined forces to donate more than 1,900 gifts to children and senior citizens served by the Family Giving Tree.

More than 80 percent of the gifts were raised through shopping sprees, a longtime tradition in which SVA leaders matched the gifts purchased by their employees.

During the fun events, TI employees spent more than $33,000 at the local Target store, resulting in thousands of holiday wishes coming true.

In addition to the gift drive, Silicon Valley employees raised $3,876 for the Second Harvest Food bank, which was matched by the TI Community Fund, resulting in 15,500 meals for families facing hunger.

Employees, their families and friends also participated in several volunteer events. At the annual Holiday Workshop, more than 190 volunteers assembled 735 gift bags and 42 bikes for low-income families and individuals, and 60 employees sorted gifts at the Family Giving Tree warehouse.

During the three weeks of the Holiday Giving Program, more than 439 TI volunteers contributed 1,000 hours of service to brighten the lives of people in need.
