TI employee Gray Mayes (green jacket, center) represents TI among other "Superheros" award winners at the recent North Texas Commission annual meeting.

TI was recognized recently with four awards for its impact on and contributions to the North Texas communities where it operates and where a number of its employees live.

"There is a growing recognition that Texas is one of the best places to live and work," said Gray Mayes, TI Director of Government Relations. "Our government, business and community leaders have worked hard to understand, articulate and implement programs and policies conducive to a vibrant economy and a good standard of living. This is why companies like TI continue to invest in this region."

Dallas Regional Momentum Award
The annual Dallas Regional Momentum Awards recognized TI with a Global Catalyst award recently for the company’s Richardson fabrication facility, RFAB, located in Richardson, Texas. The site is the world's first production facility to use 12-inch (300-millimeter) silicon wafers to manufacture analog chips, which are essential components in virtually all electronics.

Established in 2003, the Momentum Awards celebrate companies that have made a positive impact on the economy through job growth and location and expansion activities. The award also honors companies that contribute to the vitality of the Dallas/Fort Worth region.

North Texas Commission's "Superhero"
TI was among 40 "North Texas Superheroes" recognized by the North Texas Commission recently, which celebrated its 40th anniversary by honoring local companies, civic leaders, business leaders, and elected officials – including the former President of the United States, for their contributions to the region.

Best of Plano Business & Community Awards
TI was honored with the "Corporate Citizen of the Year" award from the Plano Chamber of Commerce as part of its annual Business & Community Awards. These awards honor the area's most enterprising businesses and most influential business leaders who have made significant contributions to Plano and the North Texas region.

The "Corporate Citizen of the Year" award is based on TI's involvement in and support of critical community issues, enhancing the city's economy, exemplifying innovative leadership with employees and outstanding customer service. TI has operations in Plano, a city north of its Dallas headquarters.

Dallas Black Chamber's "Corporation of the Year"
The Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce recognized TI as "Corporation of the Year" recently during its annual awards banquet. This is the third time TI has received this honor, which acknowledges the company’s dedication to community involvement and its commitment to small- and minority-owned business development.
