Throughout its 80+ year journey as a high-tech company, TI has upheld a reputation for social and environmental responsibility. To demonstrate its continuing commitment to these principles, the company recently applied and has been accepted as an applicant member of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC).

TI will use the EICC code of conduct as a tool to continue to align and adopt best practices and processes within its industry and will encourage its first-tier suppliers to do the same.

"Wherever possible, we will seek to adopt the EICC approach and tools in practical ways in the spirit of the industry's common goals," said David Reid, TI ethics officer. "We look forward to working with our industry colleagues as we continue to promote continuous improvement and common standards for workers, ethics, environmental and social impact in the global electronics supply chain."

More information about the vision and mission of EICC is included in TI's acknowledgement letter regarding the company's support of the coalition.
