TI employees in Manchester, N.H., who make giving back to the community a top priority, recently participated in two volunteer projects in just one week.

Peretz Day, a TI Manchester community involvement team member, coordinated the first event at New Horizons, a local homeless shelter, soup kitchen and food pantry.

Volunteers took time out of their busy schedules to prepare meals and sort through hundreds of food and toiletry items.

Day said New Horizons is not only a safe place for the homeless to rest and eat a warm meal, it also offers a variety of critical services to the community.

"We selected this charity because it provides many valuable services to homeless adults, including case management, referral, medical and mental health services," Day said.

"Additionally, it offers special services for homeless women, and its pantry serves over 700 households every month."

The second volunteer project was held at the Nashua Children's Home, an organization that provides residential and educational programs for youth with special needs.

Led by Denise Floyd, TI employees worked together to landscape the organization's entryway.

"It felt great to give back," Floyd said.

"Not only did we do something worthwhile for our community, it was also a great way to build camaraderie among TI colleagues at the same time."
