Education Technology
TI’s quest to integrate sustainable design principles into our technology does not stop with semiconductors. Our graphing handheld devices for math and science teaching and learning, which are used by educators and students worldwide, are just one of the environmentally responsible products from our Education Technology (ET) business unit.
Approximately 98 percent of each of TI’s ET products can be recycled, reused or recovered (burned as fuel). We also recycle rechargeable lithium batteries used in ET products as part of our involvement in the Call2Recycle program. The new TI-Nspire CX graphing calculator contains a rechargeable battery, which lasts about two weeks on a single charge.
To learn more about what our ET division is doing to be environmentally responsible, see the Education Technology Product Stewardship website.
