Engineering change in design automation
The scaling of technology and the pervasiveness of electronics requires us to revolutionize how we design analog blocks, Tim says, in order to drive efficiency and speed into the process and support the sheer number of designs needed to meet demand.
Even back in grad school Tim was frustrated by the manual steps in design. His experience in software and coding, though, which dates back to his undergraduate days at Texas A&M, has armed Tim with the passion and know-how to produce innovative design automation software.
When completed, Tim's analog software will allow designers to easily migrate from one technology to another without redesigning the IP, thus cutting time and cost from the design cycle. This will allow designers to focus on system-level challenges and enable better, smaller and faster products that are also quicker to market.
Before taking on his current project, Tim could be found designing innovative reference systems, enabling better accuracy and performance in MCU devices.
"TI is well on its way to revolutionizing the way analog design is done." |
