Engineering change in data converters
Vicki likes to push boundaries. Dedicated to developing products with ever higher performance, lower power and greater levels of integration gives Vicki a chance to push the boundaries every day with increasingly creative solutions.
Most recently Vicki has been working on pushing the boundaries of a TI data converter, increasing its speed by a factor of five while also reducing its power consumption. While this may appear to be simply incremental change, achieving these improvements has actually produced a viable solution for entirely new markets.
So of course now she’s determined to push the boundaries even further.
Vicki is willing to work on anything that challenges her creativity. She loves meeting new people and listening to the challenges they’re facing. She’s particularly interested in the idea of machine learning, creating products that enable objects such as cars to become more intelligent and more responsive to human needs.
She pushes the boundaries outside of work too. She takes classes to challenge her brain in new ways and loves to travel and explore new cuisines. One of her favorite new hobbies is running. She says it gives her brain time to think about the next boundary to overcome.
"Time is one of our most limited resources. Today’s design cycles are so fast, but it’s critical that we take time to step away from the problem and really think." |
