Engineering change in ultra-low-power radios
Sudipto finds his inspiration for innovation in nature. If he wasn’t an engineer, he would most likely be an exploration geophysicist. And while he’s not investigating national parks, Sudipto is working on developing ultra-low-power radios for industrial, consumer and medical applications in ISM 2.4G and sub-GHz bands.
As a design engineer, Sudipto’s charter is to develop advanced low-power products across TI’s multiple business units. He has been pushing technical innovation at TI for almost a decade and continues to contribute to the advanced concepts and systems productized by the company. Sudipto’s advancements in state-of-the-art low-power radio designs have touched a number of TI product lines including the DTV1000, CC1120, CC2541, CC26XX and MSP430™.
Sudipto believes TI’s innovation is spurred by its large pool of strong, technical people who are approachable for open discussion about complex, technical ideas. His favorite discussions revolve around innovations with long-term sustainability, something he feels the semiconductor industry needs to focus a bit more on. He is passionate about developing applications that significantly improve our society by and large.
