Currently a worldwide strategic marketing manager for Texas Instruments (TI), Zephra Freeman is responsible for the marketing strategy of TI’s $250+ million dollar Interface business unit, which includes high-speed, digital-based interface solution such as universal serial bus (USB), 1394 a/b, universal asynchronous receivers/transmitters (UARTs) and PCI Express. Prior to this he was the manager of worldwide PC connectivity solutions marketing where he is responsible for the marketing strategy of TI’s $150+ million dollar PC Connectivity business unit.

Zephra has held various marketing, business development, and manufacturing engineering and management positions during his 21-year career at TI. With over two decades of electronics industry experience, Zephra’s disciplines span many areas including automation and tooling, small business development, manufacturing technology engineering, small form factor LCD displays and DLPTM business development. During his career he’s had the opportunity to work with development programs across multiple application spaces, including: military program technology development, digital photo printing, automotive lighting and high speed buses, small form factor displays, DLP new business applications and mixed signal IC solutions.

Zephra has a bachelor’s of science in Engineering from Prairie View A&M University and a master’s of business from the University of Dallas. Throughout his career at TI he has received many industry awards for performance, including Career Magazine’s “Black Engineer of the Year for Business Development” in 1996 and the US Small Business Development Award.
