Europe, consumers can enjoy DVD-quality, real-time video-on-demand
available over DSL. In Asia and Japan, fans of popular TV shows
can record episodes on their favorite storage media and watch
on portable viewers. In the US, family members can connect across
the miles with affordable videophones.
With streaming media technology, many
products will take on new roles. The PC will become your home
media gateway, distributing video to the living room and music
to the bedroom. The TV will have embedded set-top box functionality
