Texas Instruments makes direct equity investments in support of
our business strategies. These investments are generally part
of a defined strategic business relationship and are sponsored
by a TI business unit working with TI’s Corporate Development
and Venture Capital team.
TI is interested in working with companies that are developing
new products and applications that support TI’s semiconductor
platforms, such as TI's OMAP™ and DaVinci™ platforms.
TI is also interested in emerging technologies and advanced architectures
that complement its businesses, including:
- Advanced architectures for wireless handsets
- Data converter, power management and other advanced analog
technologies
- Medical devices, including medical imaging, portable devices
and implantables
- Advanced processor and networking technologies
- Sensors and low-power wireless technologies
