TI Foundation names 2008 STEM Award recipients
 The Texas Instruments Foundation announced ten 2008 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Award recipients. The TI Foundation established the STEM Awards in 2006 to recognize instructors at the secondary level who are enhancing student achievement and increasing interest in high school classrooms in the Dallas, Plano and Richardson Independent School Districts (ISDs).

TI awards $1 million to Rice University through Leadership University Program

Class act: TI India Foundation gives 100 children a chance for an education
 TI, its foundations and its employees have a commitment to improving education that is shared in every region of the world.
Recently, the TI India Foundation (TIIF) raised enough money from TI employees to send 100 underprivileged children from Bangalore to school this year - five times as many as were financed last year through the TIIF's Early Birds scholarship program.

TI DLP® Cinema installs digital movie screen at U.S. military base in Kuwait
 The U.S. military selected TI's DLP Cinema to install a digital projection system at Camp Arifjan, a staging area for troops going to and from the war in Iraq. It is the first digital movie screen at any military base in the world.
