2009 World's Most Ethical Companies
World's Most Ethical Companies
Ethisphere Magazine selected TI for its list of the World's Most Ethical Companies for the third consecutive year. The list recognizes organizations across 35 industries that promote ethical business standards and practices by going beyond legal minimums, introducing innovative ideas benefiting the public and encouraging their competitors to follow suit.

TI was highlighted in the electronics and semiconductor category. See the full list of recognized companies.

"Operating as an ethical leader requires a significant commitment from companies that goes beyond lip service and demands real action and change," said Alex Brigham, executive director of the Ethisphere Institute. "After a rigorous and competitive selection process, the companies on this year's list have demonstrated an understanding that ethical practices are not only necessary, but can support a stronger and more solid business overall."

Researchers and analysts reviewed more than 10,000 companies' codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers; and feedback from consumer action groups. Information was both provided by the companies through questionnaires and collected during additional independent research.

100 Best Corporate Citizens List
TI was named among the best corporate citizens by Corporate Responsibility Officer (CRO) Magazine, ranking 59th on the magazine's 10th annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens List®. This is the seventh time in nine years TI has been included on the list.

CRO's 100 Best Corporate Citizens List® is the only such list based on 100 percent publicly-available information and ranks companies on their performance in seven key areas: environment, climate change, human rights, philanthropy, employee relations, financial and governance.

Since the methodology for developing the list is based solely on publicly available data, it puts a premium on companies with high levels of public disclosure and transparency.

TI provides a detailed annual report of its corporate citizenship activities on the company's website at www.ti.com/csr
