Volunteers from TI recently helped some of its neighbors in nearby Hamilton Park repair homes and spruce up yards as part of the Dallas Leadership Foundation's annual City of Hope Day.
TI employee Jicori Minor, who was raised in the historic community adjacent to TI's Dallas headquarters, helped recruit more than 85 TI employees to assist with painting, landscaping and general clean-up of 10 houses in Hamilton Park.
"I was compelled to help organize TI's participation in this event because Hamilton Park is my home, and I want to do what I can to be a good neighbor to that community," he said.
This year, the City of Hope project rehabilitated almost 50 houses in seven neighborhoods across the city, helping low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly and disabled.
"TI is proud of its legacy of giving back to the community," said Ezra Penermon, TI director of community affairs. "The residents of Hamilton Park have been our neighbors for more than 50 years, and we strive to be a good corporate citizen by participating in programs that benefit this community."
