Implements the ITU Recommendation V.8 for data modems. This is a version of the initial auto-answer sequence sent in a modem connection over the telephone network. It allows operational menus to be exchanged for mutual selection of a data pump function. The code is for any ANSI-C compliant TI processor; all data memory is in 16-bit integers User's guides are provided. It is operated by subroutine calls, for initialisation & sample processing, with re-entrancy for multi-channel use. Sample rates are 8.0kHz or 9.6kHz. The code has excellent performance with low resource usage.
