Maximizes industry standard servers for high capacity media, RF, HPC, and artificial intelligence applications.

  • o 1U and 2U industry standard servers with supercomputing performance o Compatible with riser card power consumption specifications for power consumption, size, and weight. Unlike GPU boards, SigC667x accelerator cards are all one slot thick, and range from 50 to 100W o Supports Intel DPDK for high-throughput, low-latency data plane interface between x86 and C66x cores o Not "hard wired" to one type of application. Can be used concurrently for high capacity voice and artificial intelligence or other HPC applications. Run-time core allocation is dynamic and flexible

Hardware Specifications 1U and 2U industry standard servers with 2 to 32 x86 Xeon cores, 32 - 256 TI C66x cores. 250 to 1500W power consumption. Various Linux distributions and Kernel versions supported. Multiple 1 GbE network interfaces available on motherboard and SigC667x accelerators.
Software Specifications SigIMS high capacity voice/video software. CIM software with OpenMP programming interface for HPC and artificial intelligence applications.
Trade-off Analysis Multicore resource management on CIM 1U series HPC servers is maintained on the accelerator allowing virtualization of server applications without loss in acceleration performance.
Development Tools OpenMP extensions supported by CIM software allow accelerator core to be allocated for (i) acceleration, (ii) task offloading, and (iii) user-defined purposes. The default is all cores allocated for acceleration.
