The C674x/OMAP-L1x is a generation of low-power applications processors. The OMAP-L1x devices are based on an ARM926EJ-S and a C674x DSP core. The C674x devices include the C674x DSP core. These devices provide significantly lower power than other members of the TMS320C6000™ platform of DSPs. The devices in this family enables OEMs and ODMs to quickly bring to market applications featuring robust operating systems support, rich user interfaces, and high processing performance life through the maximum flexibility of a fully integrated mixed processor solution. They also include a rich peripheral set to reduce system cost and enable differentiated features.
The C674x/OMAPL1x Introductory Information Wiki article has been created for both experienced TI DSP developers and for developers who are new to TI DSPs. The article introduces the devices, highlights the key feature, lists the value proposition for targeted applications and also provides useful pointers for developers. The article centralizes the information about various resources made available to ease development on these devices. Therefore, it serves as a launchpad for development on these devices.
