About the Program
Your success starts here!
The European
Graduate Program (EGP) opens the door to a promising career in
Sales & Marketing at Texas Instruments (TI). We offer a lot
during the 12 months, but we also ask a lot in return.
The EGP is
tailored specifically to equip you with the networking
opportunities and real-world skills you need to embark on a
rewarding career. We believe the best learning comes by way
of experiences – different experiences. As a participant in
the EGP, you will be exposed to different businesses within TI
and rotate through a number of challenging, project-oriented
assignments, at least one of which will be abroad.

To complement
your learning on the job, you will benefit from tailored
training for your professional and personal development.
Our variety of different training sessions, which cover
technical, sales, business, product and personality topics, will
enable you to develop the skills for success.

Your final role
What do current Sales Engineers have to say about what your future
job will be like?
1) What's a typical day like?
“Visiting customers, learning about their projects, applications,
needs, problems and ideas. Understanding what the best opportunities
are for TI, and fighting for them. You are responsible for
orchestrating TI to fulfill customers’ needs, and you provide input
to our internal product lines so that they can innovate, based on
these needs.”
2) What makes your job exciting?
“It’s fun, it’s dynamic, it’s exciting. You get a huge perspective
of the markets your customers are playing in, you get to learn about
interesting ideas and innovations happening at their end, and you
translate these ideas into TI; driving the company to serve and
thrive on those markets. You are ‘the voice of the customer’ inside
TI, and, as TI is focused on customers, your voice is focus.”
3) Why should someone studying engineering decide to go into
sales?
“I’ve always loved engineering, and I enjoyed very much working as
an engineer on a deeper technical level. I knew I had some strengths
on the ‘communication’ and ‘strategic thinking‘ side. Being a social
person who likes interacting with different people and being part of
strategic decisions, I decided to take a career in sales. The sales
job at TI has a broad spectrum, giving you the chance to add your
own flavor whether you want to ‘go more technical’ or ‘go more
business’.”

Who we're looking for
Grades are not
everything! We want individuals who are relationship-builders,
willing to make a difference and able to drive great ideas forward
in a team environment. We need enthusiasm, energy and a true
commitment to our customers, both internal and external.
You are the right candidate if you have recently completed
your studies with a Diploma or Master‘s degree in Electrical or
Business Engineering. We are also targeting Young Professionals who
have reached a point in their career where they would like to
explore new opportunities.
Once in your final role, you should be willing to spend most
of your time on the road meeting customers. This requires
flexibility with regards to your final location, mobility and strong
communication skills, including the English language. Your desire to
collaborate with a variety of different people at different
locations and with different demands is a pre-requisite for us. As
you will be the interface between our customers and internal
experts, a basic understanding of business topics as well as a
strong technical background will be critical to your success.
As you can see, we are looking for more than just your degree.
If you are a person who knows how to work to achieve specific goals,
are interested in new experiences, and would like to shape the
future as part of an international team, then you are the ideal
