TI India Foundation
Vision
Compassion with a purpose.
Enabling a self-reliant community around us.
Objective
The TI India Foundation (TIIF) was born in 2003 as a way to coordinate community initiatives supported by the company and its employees, particularly in the areas of education and the environment.
|
In order to foster the spirit of inquiry and innovation, TIIF conducts the annual Texas Instruments Jack Kilby Science and Technology Quiz for high school students. We believe this quiz would encourage more students to take up science as a career.
As a part of the TIIF-School Initiative, high school students in Bangalore are exposed to state-of-the-art knowledge in high technology areas, mainly in electronics. |
TIIF partners with Akshara Foundation to work with pre-school children from socially deprived backgrounds. The volunteers help unlock their creativity and enable them to join the mainstream education process.
This year, twenty children secured admission to primary schools, through the efforts of TIIF volunteers. These children might have otherwise discontinued their schooling.

TIIF supports the Bangalore Kidney Foundation’s (BKF) one-free-dialysis-a-day programme. On September 1st, 2007, TIIF donated a dialysis machine to BKF. This machine will be used to treat patients diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.
On the humanitarian front, TIIF supports the Little Sisters of the Poor (an Old Age Home), The Missionaries of Charity, Samarthanam, Shristi Foundation amongst others. In addition, Blood Donation Camps are held thrice a year. Clothes and newspapers are collected regularly and donated to needy organizations. TIIF also invites NGOs to put up stalls in the TI India campus to display and sell their wares.
