User Guides Abstract

This document details the design and performance of Texas Instruments reference design PMP206_C. This reference design is an active-clamp forward converter that can deliver up to 30 A of continuous current at 3.3 V from an input range of 35 V to 72 V. The active-clamp topology with self-driven secondary synchronous MOSFETs allows the PMP206-C to achieve efficiencies greater than 90%. The design includes remote sense connections for point-of-load regulation.
