ARM® Processors

Tiva™ C Series ARM® Cortex™-M4 Microcontrollers

As the first ARM® Cortex™-M4 microcontrollers (MCUs) to be implemented on TI’s proprietary 65-nm process technology, the Tiva C Series provides customers an opportunity to increase their connectivity integration without sacrificing price, performance, or power consumption.

Every C Series MCU integrates a floating-point core and high-performance analog-to-digital converters while still providing low-power modes that consume as little 1.6 μA. With up to 40 PWM outputs, a generous number of serial communication peripherals, USB OTG, and two CAN controllers, the Tiva C Series provides an excellent baseline for home, building, and industrial applications.

Connectivity application designers understand that their designs require more than simply hardware. Often, the greatest challenges that designers face is in software, and the Tiva C Series offers an ideal solution. TivaWare™ for C Series is a free license, royalty-free library of C files that includes both peripheral-level and application-level libraries.

The peripheral library and in-system programming utilities are included in ROM on every Tiva C Series MCU. TivaWare for C Series delivers USB, CAN, graphics, and sensor application libraries so that customers can focus their energy on building applications instead of programming their connectivity peripherals.
