Secure boot and multi-level encryption on C6748 DSPs protect developers’ software investment
New secure boot capabilities on the TMS320C6748 digital signal processors (DSPs) protect proprietary intellectual property and prevent external entities from modifying custom algorithms making it ideal for applications such as public safety communications and medical monitoring equipment.
With multi-level encryption, developers also have the ability to upgrade their boot and application code remotely while allowing the boot to remain secure when software upgrades are needed.
TI also offers the same secure features on the OMAP-L138 Integra™ DSP+ARM processors sampling today at 375MHz and 456MHz with industrial temperature ranges available.
Secure boot with stand alone flashing utilities enable the storing of IP and images in encrypted form to external non-volatile memory, such as NAND or NOR
Multi-level encryption support allow the protection of boot and application updates from external entities
C6748 DSP with 420mW total power and 11mW in sleep mode, allow the implementation of portable, power efficient applications with signal processing capabilities
