MSP is a 16-bit family of microcontrollers designed from the ground up to support ultra-low-power applications. The C2000™ Real-time Control MCUs provide integrated high performance analog peripherals such as ADCs, comparators, op-amps, and much more. A mix of analog peripherals are available on all real-time control devices from the low cost Piccolo line of products to the high end Delfino microcontrollers.
Safety MCUs integrate analog sensing functions via 10-bit and 12-bit SAR ADCs with sampling rates up to 1.6 MSPS. In support of the fault detection and diagnosis requirements for safety critical designs, additional analog circuits are included to monitor critical system attributes such as the power supply, clock source and phase-locked loop. All Hercules devices include ADC Self-Test and calibration as well as voltage, oscillator and PLL monitoring.
