Linux

Industry-standard Linux development tools provide OMAP developers a fully tested, full-function Linux environment that streamlines software development and delivers software programs to market faster.

With a full board support package (BSP) for Linux, and TI development tools like the award-winning Code Composer Studio integrated development environment (IDE) and the Innovator™ Development Kit for the OMAP Platform, software developers can quickly get started with the high-performance and power efficiency of the OMAP platform. 

QNX

TI works closely with QNX Software Systems, a subsidiary of Research in Motion Limited (RIM), to optimize its operating-system software for the embedded and automotive markets. The high performance, low-power design and features of TI's OMAP™ applications processors and Jacinto auto infotainment processors are well-suited to QNX strengths in vehicle infotainment/telematics products, network routers, industrial control systems, medical instruments, security and defense systems, and other mission- or safety-critical applications.

Windows

TI is excited to partner with Microsoft to extend the value of its Compact Embedded and RT OSes on the OMAP platform. TI and Microsoft offer DSP hardware accelerated Windows Media in certain OMAP platforms.  TI also provides reference designs and reference design software for optimized core components, including multimedia and advanced power management. 

The Blaze™ development platform are a family of OMAP 4 platform-based development tools. They pair the OMAP 4 platform with key peripheral support to provide mobile innovators with a complete system solution that eases the development process and transforms designs into real-life applications. Both the Blaze Mobile Development Platform (MDP) and Table Development Platform (TDP) are designed to give developers access to the right mobile system components so they can innovate and create whenever an idea strikes. Out-of-the-box features include:
