Overview for Local Analog Temperature Sensors

Inventors of the original. Always small, easy-to-use and accurate.

TI, innovators of the world's first temperature sensor IC, offers a comprehensive portfolio of easy-to-use analog temperature sensors ideal for system monitoring tasks such as protection, control and calibration. They provide highly accurate, repeatable results that require no compensating circuitry, lookup table or calibration, while their low power consumption across temperature minimizes self-heating.

New LMT series

The new LMT series of analog temp sensors delivers unmatched value-for-performance by combining high accuracy, very low power consumption and simple design-in capability all in a small package. The LMT series features seven new products that provide accurate and reliable performance across the operating temperature range of -50°C to +150°C.

Thermistor Replacement

TI's analog temperature sensors are great alternatives to thermistors. Unlike thermistors, analog temperature sensors provide a linear output which corresponds to higher accuracy over a wider temperature range. Also, analog temperature sensors consume less board space as they don't require the resistive network that thermistors do. In addition, analog temperature sensors dissipate much less power than thermistors due to their constant low supply current across operating temperature.
