This document provides an example application for the Power Management Bus (PMBus) protocol implementation using the MSP430 as a master PMBus device. The PMBus protocol is an open-standard power-management protocol used for communicating with power conversion devices. It is implemented using the popular I2C communication protocol at a hardware level and is controlled by a software interface of PMBus commands. The demonstration application has been created for use with the MSP430 USCI module configured in I2C mode. The code is intended for single master-slave applications only.
