Stellaris Kits accelerate product development by providing all the tools needed to develop and prototype embedded applications right out of the box. All kits include ready-to-run hardware, a complete StellarisWare firmware package, comprehensive documentation, and applicable cables and accessories. Evaluation KitsStellaris Evaluation Kits provide a low cost, effective means of evaluating Stellaris Family microcontrollers. Slightly less feature-rich than Stellaris Family Development Kits, Evaluation Kits focus on a single set of tools and a specific set of peripherals within the Stellaris family, while featuring easy-access through holes to each of the peripherals on the populated Stellaris MCU. Each kit spans the design spectrum from evaluation to prototyping to application-specific design by functioning both as an evaluation platform and as a serial in-circuit debug interface for any Stellaris microcontroller-based target board.
Development KitsFeature-rich Stellaris Family Development Kits provide the hardware and software tools that engineers need to develop and prototype embedded applications right out of the box. Each kit includes different evaluation tool suites for popular development tools, documentation, a complete StellarisWare Firmware Development Package, and all the cables necessary to begin rapid development using Stellaris microcontrollers.
Reference Design KitsTI offers several complete, open-tool reference design kits which include a Stellaris-based application module, all the cables, motors, adaptors, software, and design files required to demonstrate the functionality of the application - for a tremendous out-of-box demonstration. By "open-tooling" each Reference Design Kit, TI enables a quick time to market by providing the module design information, NRE- and royalty-free, for use and modification on any Stellaris-based design.
ModulesTo accelerate the design cycle, TI offers customizable, production-ready modules for direct implementation into a customer’s system. The modules include choices for motor control (supporting several different types of motors), connectivity applications, and user interface. What’s important is that customers can confidently make the decision to adopt a Stellaris application module from TI because, while TI is happy to offer the module for the duration of the customer’s product life cycle, the customer has the flexibility to copy the design of the module exactly – or tweak the design to alter the effective module functionality – without having to pay a licensing fee. The design is "Open Tool" – both the hardware and the software! This includes schematics, placement files, bill of materials, gerbers, the application and StellarisWare® source files, and control and config GUIs used to control/monitor the application. |
