TI spins out eight new motor drivers for stepper, brushed DC motors
The new DRV8x motor drivers support up to 5 A and provide RDSon as low as 100 milliohms, more than 60 percent less than the previous generation, enabling higher current and better thermal performance. Microstepping options within the family include up to 256 microsteps and greater with an external microcontroller or up to 32 microsteps with an on-chip indexer.

New Motor Control kit helps you spin brushless DC or permanent magnet synchronous motors

TI has added its new line of scalable evaluation platforms for spinning motors to include the DRV8312-C2-KIT. The kit includes everything needed to spin brushless DC or permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) running up to 3.5A continuous / 6.5A peak at 50 V. The highly efficient, 3-phase PWM motor driver increases reliability and features a high performance, low cost 32-bit MCU in modular card format.

Getting started with the TMS470M USB Stick Development Kit
TMS470M USB Stick Development Kit allows customers to quickly evaluate and start initial code development of the TMS470M MCU. The $79 TMDX470MF066USB kit provides the automotive grade Cortex-M3 ARM CPU based TMS470MF066 microcontroller running at 80MHz, with 640KB of Flash, 64KB of RAM, an enhanced set of peripheral modules and transceiver/sensor interfaces.  For more information please visit www.ti.com/tms470m.
TMS570 training classes are now available!
Are you ready to get started with your safety critical TMS570 design? The three day ‘Safety Critical Design and Programming with ARM® Cortex™-R4F based TMS570 MCUs’ workshop is now available to be delivered in your area.  Click here for more information.  The one day TMS570 workshop material and informational videos are also available to view on-demand at the TMS570 WIKI page.
Safety feature application notes for TMS570 Microcontrollers

A series of application  notes focusing on the use of built in self test (BIST), error correction code (ECC) and dual 12-bit Analog to Digital Converters make implementing the TMS570 in a safety critical design easier.
